Indonesia Batal Jadi Tuan Rumah Piala Dunia U20 2023,Ada apa nih?

Federasi Sepak Bola Internasional (FIFA) resmi membatalkan penyelenggaraan Piala Dunia U202 2023 di Indonesia.

Dalam keterangan tertulisnya pada Rabu (29/3/2023) malam WIB, FIFA batal menggelar Piala Dunia U20 2023 Indonesia karena “situasi terkini” di Tanah Air.

“FIFA telah memutuskan, karena keadaan saat ini, untuk menghapus Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah Piala Dunia U20 2023,” tulis pernyataan FIFA.

FIFA sendiri memberi pernyataan lengkap di situsnya. Berikut pernyataan lengkapnya

“Menyusul pertemuan hari ini antara Presiden FIFA Gianni Infantino dan Ketua Umum PSSI Erick Thohir, FIFA memutuskan, karena kondisi terkini, untuk mengeluarkan Indonesia dari tuan rumah Piala Dunia 2023 FIFA U-20. Tuan rumah baru akan segera diumumkan secepatnya, dengan tanggal pertandingan yang tertia tetap tak berubah. Sanksi potensial terhadap PSSI akan diputuskan ke depan

FIFA menggarisbawahi tetap akan berkomitmen aktif membantu PSSI dan bekerja sama erat dengan pemerintahan Presiden Jokowi dalam proses transformasi persepakbolaan Indonesia, khususnya pasca tragedi pada Oktober 2022. Anggota dari FIFA akan hadir di Indonesia dalam beberapa bulan mendatang dan akan menyediakan asistensi ke PSSI, di bawah kepemimpinan Thohir

Pertemuan baru antara Presiden FIFA dan Ketum PSSI untuk pembahasan lebih lanjut akan dijadwalkan dalam waktu dekat.”

FIFA tak menjelaskan lebih jauh apa yang dimaksud dengan “situasi terkini”. Namun, situasi itu diduga ada hubungannya dengan polemik timnas Israel di Piala Dunia U20 2023 Indonesia.

Beberapa pihak menolak keikutsertaan timnas Israel di Piala Dunia U20 2023. Salah satunya adalah Gubernur Bali I Wayan Koster.

Penolakan terhadap timnas U20 Israel juga datang dari Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo.

I Wayan Koster dan Ganjar tak mau timnas Israel bermain khususnya di wilayah mereka khususnya, atau pada umumnya di Indonesia.

Padahal, Bali (Stadion Kapten I Wayan Dipta) dan Jawa Tengah (Stadion Manahan) sudah dipersiapkan untuk menjadi tempat penyelenggaraan laga-laga Piala Dunia U20 2023.

Kata Erick Thohir

Sementara itu Erick Thohir juga memberi pernyataan pers. Ia mengaku sudah berjuang maksimal.

“Saya sudah berjuang maksimal,” tegasnya seperti dikutip dari siaran pers.

“Setelah menyampaikan surat dari Presiden Jokowi, dan berbicara panjang dengan Presiden FIFA, Gianni Infantino, kita harus menerima keputusan FIFA yang membatalkan penyelenggaraan event yang kita sama-sama nantikan itu,” ujar Erick.

Ia menambahkan, keputusan yang merupakan kewenangan FIFA sebagai lembaga tertinggi sepak bola dunia dengan 211 anggota. Jadi, tidak bisa ditolak lagi.

“Indonesia adalah salah satu anggota FIFA, sehingga untuk urusan sepakbola internasional, kita harus mengikuti aturan yang sudah ditetapkan,” jelasnya.

“Meskipun saya tadi sudah menyampaikan segala hal kepada Gianni, apa yang dititipkan presiden, pecinta sepakbola, anak-anak timnas U-20, dan juga suporter setia sepakbola, tapi karena kita anggotanya dan FIFA menilai situasi saat ini tidak bisa dilanjutkan penyelenggaraannya, maka kita harus tunduk,” tambahnya yang menemui bos FIFA di Doha, Qatar.

Jokowi : Jangan Saling Menyalahkan

“Tadi malam saya telah mendapatkan laporan dari Ketum PSSI bahwa FIFA telah memutuskan membatalkan Piala Dunia U-20 di Indonesia. Tentunya kita harus menghormati keputusan tersebut,” jelas Jokowi sebagaimana disiarkan di Youtube Sekretariat Presiden, Kamis (30/3/2023).

“Saya tahu keputusan ini membuat banyak masyarakat kecewa. Saya pun sama, juga merasakan hal itu, kecewa dan sedih. Tapi jangan menghabiskan energi untuk saling menyalahkan satu sama lain,” sambungnya.

Dia menyampaikan sebagai bangsa yang besar, Indonesia harus melihat ke depan. Jokowi mengajak masyarakat Indonesia menjadikan peristiwa tersebut sebagai pembelajaran berharga untuk sepakbola Tanah Air.
